Welcome to Bistro Freres Wines Summer 2006, Number 1

If you are on our mailing list, you will find that much of what is on this site is a repeat of our semi-annual newsletter. If you aren't on our mailing list, we hope this site will give you a picture of this remarkable area, and the wines produced there. We began Bistro Freres to use the fabulous old vines we found in the Fenouilledes to produce wines that are reflective of the area and are delicious with food.

Bistro Freres produces wines from the Fenouilledes area in the southernmost part of France,  30 miles north of Spain and 20 miles inland from the Mediterranean Sea. Crisp, dry  and fragrant white wines made from Grenache blanc, Grenache gris,  and Carignan blanc grapes, and deep, complex and silky red wines made from old-vine Grenache noir and Carignan are available.
