Early 2006 report

Thus far, the 2006 growing season has been very good. If all holds through harvest, this may be the best vintage from this area in quite some time. I can report that the white grapes from Couillade are ripening beautifully and will be picked the weeks of August 28th and September 4th.. Therefore we look forward to introducing our first white (the un-chardonnay), perhaps as early as the Spring of 2007.

Available wines

In September 2006, we will bring to the United States, 250 cases of the Sanglier Volant - Cotes Catalanes which will be made from 80% old vines grenache and 20% Carignan from the Bac and Couillades vineyards.

In late Spring, 2007, we will introduce 100 cases of our first white wine from Couillade des Marchands We are also happy to report that we have harvested  about a barrel of wine from our special project, La Florine. Therefore, about 25 cases of this 70% old-vines Grenache and 30% Grenache Gris and Carignan Blanc will be held in old barrels and released sometime in 2007. Watch for it. It is exceptional.
